xFitment:
This is a direct fit high-output alternator for the 1968 Jeep CJ5A 2.2L. Being a direct fit, this alternator fits directly into your stock alternator location.
Plug:
This high-output alternator comes with a 14.8 Volt GM Style Internal Regulator with one wire connection. This alternator is not plug-and-play and must be wired with the one wire connection.
Pulley:
This alternator also comes with a smaller pulley, which causes it to spin faster than a larger pulley. This can help the alternator produce its maximum output. With a smaller pulley, it is required to install a 1/2" - 1" shorter belt.
Upgraded Wiring:
When Upgrading to a High-Output Alternator, it is required to upgrade your wiring. It is recommended to use 1/0 100% copper wires for the upgrade. The "Big 3" or "Big 4" upgrade means improving the current capacity of three cables: 1) alternator output to battery positive, 2) battery negative to frame/body, and 3) engine ground to frame/body. We don't stop there though.
Our "Big 7" kits also include the leads to the starter and the fuse relay box, as well as adding an external fuse to avoid routing the increase in current capacity through the smaller fuse box wiring. It’s really one of the first mods you should do to any Jeep!

Kindly note that each alternator is built to order upon order placement, ensuring optimal performance and quality. Please allow 5-15 business days for production, although we strive to deliver sooner whenever possible.

xReturns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). Otherwise, customer is responsible for return shipping.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
